What is concrete levelling?
Concrete levelling (also spelt concrete leveling) makes an uneven slab flat and smooth so the final floor covering sits right. Dips, humps, old adhesive and damaged areas are removed or filled, then a self-levelling compound is poured and spread to give a flat, even surface.
A floor that isn't level causes lifting tiles, gaps under timber, visible bumps in vinyl and failed inspections. Getting the substrate right first saves money on every layer above it.
Our concrete levelling services
Self-levelling compounds
Premium self-levelling compounds poured and feathered to remove dips and humps, from thin skims to deeper builds.
Concrete grinding
Diamond grinding removes coatings, adhesives and high spots, and profiles the slab so the levelling compound bonds properly.
Bulk-fill application
High-volume fill for large level differences, voids and set-downs on commercial and multi-storey projects.
Concrete repair
Cracks, spalling and damaged areas repaired before levelling, so problems don't come back through the new floor.
Compliant falls
Falls to wastes for wet areas, balconies and rooftops, built to code.
3D laser scanning & heat maps
We scan the floor to measure exactly how far out of level it is, and document flatness for your project records.
How we level a concrete floor
- Site assessment: inspection, moisture testing, 3D laser scanning and heat mapping to choose the right approach.
- Take up and grinding: existing materials removed and the slab diamond ground to remove contaminants.
- Prime and level: primer applied, then self-levelling compound poured and feathered to a flat substrate.
- Quality check: every section checked with a straightedge and signed off, ready for the finished floor.

Concrete levelling FAQs
What is concrete levelling?
Concrete levelling (concrete leveling) makes an uneven slab flat and smooth so a floor covering can be laid. The slab is ground, primed and covered with a self-levelling compound that flows out to a flat surface.
How long before flooring can go down after levelling?
It depends on the product, thickness and conditions. Many self-levelling compounds can be walked on within hours, but floor coverings need the compound to be dry enough, which we confirm before sign-off.
Do you do concrete levelling for residential projects?
Yes. Alongside commercial and multi-storey work, we level floors in residential homes across Sydney.
How do I get a quote for concrete levelling in Sydney?
